Method
 

  1. Heat oven to 400F and roll out the puff pastry.
  2. Layer pepperoni and both cheeses over half the pastry.
  3. Fold the plain half over and press gently to seal.
  4. Cut into strips and twist each one a few times.
  5. Place on a lined sheet, brush with egg, and dust with seasoning.
  6. Bake 15 to 18 minutes until puffed and golden.

Notes

Keep the pastry cold so it puffs up tall.

  • 1 baguette sliced
  • 1/3 cup fig jam
  • 3 oz pepperoni sliced
  • 3 oz goat cheese crumbled
  • 1 tbsp fresh thyme
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze

Method
 

  1. Heat oven to 400F and brush the baguette slices with olive oil.
  2. Toast the slices until golden and crisp.
  3. Spread a layer of fig jam on each toast.
  4. Top with pepperoni and crumbled goat cheese.
  5. Drizzle with balsamic glaze.
  6. Finish with fresh thyme and serve.

Notes

Warm the fig jam slightly so it spreads smoothly.
