Things to Know About the Cybex Eezy S Twist

The Cybex Eezy S Twist stroller is a single-seater. That’s the first thing you should keep in mind before buying. So if you have more than one kid, it wouldn’t be a wise choice.

Furthermore, the Eezy S Twist is lightweight, weighing in at a mere 17 pounds. That’s one of the reasons why it’s such a wonderful choice for parents living in the city. It’s maneuverable around curbs, sidewalks, and stairs with no problems. However, this makes it non-suitable for rough terrains.

Overall, the stroller is sturdy and well-built. Nevertheless, knocks and scratches can easily show up on the black chassis frame. If you tend to move in tight places a lot, it’s not difficult to scratch the stroller, which is another thing you’ll want to consider.

This stroller’s design allows it to fit certain compatible infant car seats and even a newborn bassinet. It’s a thoughtful addition on the manufacturer’s part that’s sure to make life much easier. If you go on car rides a lot with your little one, you’ll love this feature. This way, you get the best of both worlds.

On the one hand, you have an adorable pram stroller that allows you to keep your newborn safe and protected. Then, when your baby is old enough to sit up in a stroller, you can take out the bassinet and replace it with a car seat or use the stroller seat if you prefer. It’s a win-win!

The problem is that you have to buy the stroller bassinet and car seat separately, which means more spending; that’s one more thing to keep in mind.

Urban parents will have a blast with the Cybex Eezy S Twist stroller. It’s versatile and easy to use. You can reverse the seat and have it face you or the front, so your child can watch everything going around him.

The Cybex Eezy S Twist is the baby sister of the Cybex Balios S. They share many of the same qualities, including reclinable seats, extendable canopies, and all-wheel suspension. Yet, the Eezy S Twist takes it a step further with its rotatable seat option and compact folding size.

Just recently, the Cybex team added a new model to their family of strollers. They call it the Cybex Eezy S Twist 2. While both have some similar features, the Eezy S Twist weighs less and takes up a smaller amount of space when folded.

Features & Benefits of the Cybex Eezy S Twist

The Cybex Eezy S Twist is sure to add fun and excitement to every outing! Here are some more interesting features of the Eezy S Twist you’re sure to love.

Seat

The revolving seat is where the Cybex Eezy S Twist stroller excels. The fact that you can swivel the seat without having to remove it from its frame is ingenious. It saves time and a lot of backaches!

All you have to do is pull a lever on the seat’s bottom and rotate the seat. You can even do it with the canopy extended — no more hassles or struggles.

The seat can recline into several positions, and while you can lower the seat easily with one hand, getting it back up again requires both hands.

There’s a static footrest where taller kids can place their feet. The downside is it can only be used when the seat is in the parent-facing position.

The seat is capable of supporting newborns up to toddlers weighing 55 pounds. The fully reclining seat is padded and feels soft on your little one’s skin, and the hard-wearing, washable fabric is made from high-quality, 100 percent non-toxic materials.

5-Point Harness

To keep your little one protected on your outing, there’s a 5-point harness safety system to ensure a comfortable and safe ride. It’s well-padded on the shoulder straps, but one thing it could use is a cover for the crotch strap to add more comfort, especially for the older kids.

Canopy

The expandable 2-panel UPF 50+ sun canopy on this umbrella stroller is quite wide, and it’s capable of providing adequate protection against the harsh sun.

The only drawback is that there’s no peek-a-boo window on the canopy. Not having that option makes it a bit difficult to check in on your child when he or she’s facing forward.

Storage

You’ll find a pretty decent storage basket underneath the seat. For a moderately compact stroller, the Eezy S Twist has a deep, sturdy storage basket designed to give you easy access from either the front or the rear. So you’ll have no trouble taking along everything your baby needs.

Newborn Bassinet Compatibility

The Eezy S Twist stroller can accommodate the Cybex Cocoon S baby bassinet, which is sold separately, and you can definitely use it safely with a newborn.

It provides the support needed for the baby’s delicate back and head, which the Eezy S Twist doesn’t provide on its own. Just make sure you secure the cocoon in place with the harness.

Infant Car Seat Compatibility

If you’re on the look-out for a reliable travel system stroller, then the Eezy S Twist is a great choice! All you have to do is install a variety of Cybex and GB infant car seats.

Compatible car seats include Cybex Aton Q, GB Idan, and Cybex Aton M.

Wheels

The four wheels on the Cybex Eezy S Twist are all foam-filled. The great thing about them is that they don’t get punctured, giving you one less thing to worry about. They’re also durable and easy to steer through narrow doorways or crowded areas, and the front wheels pivot and can handle various types of surfaces.

Another terrific feature of the Eezy S Twist is the all-wheel suspension. That’s usually found only on all-terrain or double strollers, but this single ride boasts it, too. By absorbing the shocks of uneven surfaces, the suspension ensures a smooth, comfy ride for your little one.

For maximum safety, there’s a brake pedal in the middle area of the bottom frame. This single-action, flip-flop friendly braking system is one of the most popular types commonly found on lightweight strollers. It’s relatively easy to raise and lower the pedal, and it only stops the back wheels.

Folding

The Cybex Eezy S Twist has one of the most compact folds on the market. It’s self-standing with an auto-lock. All you have to do is fold and go. When folded, its dimensions are 10 x 18 x 22 inches.

You can take the stroller along with you on planes, trains, buses — you name it! And since it’s so compact, the Eezy S Twist is super handy if you don’t have much free space in your home.

Folding is a two-step process, which may seem awkward at first, but after several tries, it can be done much faster.

Here’s how to work the folding mechanism:

  • Find the latch in the back of the hood
  • Lift it to fold the seat down
  • Push a lever and button on the handlebar for the chassis to fold into itself
  • The indicator on the side will tell you when it’s locked and secured

Alternatives

Maybe you like the Eezy S Twist but don’t care for the price. Or maybe you want a stroller that can glide over off-road terrain.

Either way, we brought you two amazing alternatives to choose from. Each one brings something new to the table in terms of design and functionality.

Cybex Balios S

If you like the Cybex name, but prefer something a bit more affordable, try the Cybex Balios S. It’s roomier and has a more durable build. Plus, the wheels are bigger and more capable of handling a wider variety of surfaces.

The downside is that the Balio S is heavier than the Eezy S Twist, weighing in at around 24 pounds.

Bugaboo Fox

If you prefer an all-terrain stroller that can easily handle rough off-road terrains just as easily as indoor ones, then why not go with the Bugaboo Fox? It boasts an advanced suspension system with wheels capable of tilting at various angles; they provide a smooth ride and effortless steering.

Other noteworthy features include the ergonomic seat that can also be reversed, just like the Cybex Eezy S Twist. While it makes for a quality all-terrain ride, the Fox’s main downside is its high price.

Conclusion

Thanks to the various seating options you get with the Cybex Eezy S Twist, it can very well be the only stroller you’ll ever need! It’s versatile, sturdy, and well-designed, which is why it’s an awesome choice for city parents and those who enjoy traveling with their little ones.

The all-wheel suspension is another reason why the Eezy S Twist is the perfect match for parents navigating city streets. You’ll find that it rides just as smoothly in the park as it does in the mall.

As you can see, there are plenty of strollers to choose from. It all comes down to which one best suits you and your family.
