The stroller can hold weight up to over 37 pounds and features three different recline positions for your baby. The first position allows your baby to sit upright and discover the world. For a more relaxed ride, recline the seat to the second angle, and finally, when your baby is ready for a nap, position the seat to its flatter third angle.
You can reverse the seat to have it either toward you or forward-facing. There are also two height options for the seat, depending on whether or not you have another child on the bottom.
To make sure your baby is always secure and safe, there’s a 5-point harness safety system. There are shoulder pads to ease the strain of the straps, as well. The buckles are durable and stay in place.
5-in-1 Design
If you have a second kid or are the lucky parent of twins, you’ll need to buy a second seat. It comes either as a carrycot for newborns or a non-carrycot for toddlers.
If you get the carrycot, you need to buy a second starter pack accordingly. Likewise, if you buy the seat, you need to get the comfort kit, consisting of a seat pad and a harness.
The second seat or carrycot attaches underneath the top seat. The carrycot lies flat since it’s designed for newborns. On the other hand, the seat will always be at a 45-degree angle and can’t recline any further than that.
While there may be some compromises, the Kobi still provides a practical and stylish ride. This ingenious design allows you to ride with two children in the same space one child would take.

It’s worth mentioning that the changing bag won’t fit when the second seat is installed. That area becomes the footrest for the little one sitting on the bottom.
Canopy
The canopy is a pretty good cover, providing a cool shade and protecting your little tyke from the sun’s harmful rays. The top seat’s canopy has three folds, while the one on the bottom only has two. Opening them needs some firmness on your part.
A disadvantage of having a curved canopy is that it can get in the way, especially if you’re a shorter height. Also, there’s no peek-a-boo window, so when the seat is facing the front, you’ll have to stop every few paces to check in on your child, which isn’t practical or convenient.
Wheels
The wheels are designed with foam-filled rubber technology, meaning you’ll never have to worry about getting a deflated or punctured wheel.
The two front wheels are smaller than the ones in the rear, but they can all be easily removed for cleaning and to be folded for compact storage.
The back wheels can be covered with clip-on mudguards to protect against splatters. If you’re going to attach the second seat on the bottom, the mudguards can then be replaced with wheel covers. They’re designed to protect your child’s fingers.
There’s a brake pedal in the center of the rear axle. It’s flip-flop friendly, so you can engage and disengage it with your foot.
Folding
Folding the Mima Kobia is a two-step process. Once folded, it stands at almost 39 inches tall, and it doesn’t have a self-standing function.
The frame folds resemble the way our elbow joints bend. Two alloy hinges fold in at two places, then they auto-lock in place.
You can fold the stroller with the seat facing forward and all wheels attached. There’s also the option of folding it without the seats and the wheels for a smaller footprint and a lighter load.
