The One-Handed Fold: Step-By-Step

There are a few different ways to fold a Graco stroller, but we will be demonstrating the most popular way – the one-handed fold method!

Here are the steps:

How To Fold Graco Stroller

Step One: Remove Your Child From The Stroller

Firstly, and probably needless to say, you will need to remove your child from the stroller.

NOTE: If your Graco stroller has a carry strap, you can carry your child and the folded stroller at the same time. How handy!

Step Two: Fold The Seat Down

Next, you will need to fold the seat down. This can be done by lifting the seat up and then folding it down towards the chassis.

Make sure that the seat is folded all the way down – if it’s not, you won’t be able to fold the stroller any further.

NOTE: If your Graco stroller has a reversible seat, make sure that the seat is facing the correct way before folding it down. The instructions below only apply if the seat is facing forward.

Now, let’s move on to the next step.

Step Three: Fold The Chassis

Now, you will need to fold the chassis. This can be done by lifting the chassis up and then folding it towards the seat.

NOTE: If your Graco stroller has a parent tray or child tray, do make sure that they are detached from the stroller before folding it up. Detach them by pressing the buttons on the underside of the tray and then lift them off carefully.

Step Four: Set The Brakes

Now, set the brakes by simply pushing the brake pedal down with your foot. This will ensure that the stroller doesn’t move while you are folding it up.

Step Five: Lock Both The Wheels

Next, you will need to lock both wheels. This can be done by pressing the button on the side of the stroller and then moving it towards the front wheel.

Make sure that both of the wheels are locked in place – if they’re not, the stroller won’t fold up properly.

Step Six: Collapse The Canopy

If your Graco stroller has a canopy, you will need to collapse it before folding the stroller. This can be done by pressing the buttons on the side of the canopy and then folding it down.

Make sure that the canopy is fully collapsed – again, if it’s not, the stroller won’t fold up properly. Diligence is key here!

Step Seven: Push The Seat Backward

Now, you will need to push the seat backward. This can be done by placing your hand on the back of the seat and pushing it firmly backward.

Step Eight: Look For The Low Handles

Now, you will need to look for the low handles. These are the two black handles on either side of the stroller, lower them down gently.

Step Nine: Fold The Wheels

Lastly, you will need to fold the wheels. Simply lift the front wheel and then fold it towards the chassis. Do the same thing for the back wheel and you’ve successfully folded your Graco stroller!

NOTE: If your Graco stroller has a carry strap, you can conveniently carry the folded stroller! And remember, you can use the same technique to fold all models of Graco strollers. There may be some slight variations, but for the most part, they will all fold in the same way.
