First, we’re going to heat up a little bit of oil in a medium skillet, and we’re adding in one clove of diced garlic and the same amount of diced ginger.
Five simple dinners. One grocery list.
No recipe hunting, no messy shopping notes, no complicated chef projects. Just family dinners that fit real weeks.
And now just give that a stir and let it cook separately for a moment.
Building the Fried Rice
And now we’re just going to add in two cups of frozen Asian vegetables and half a cup of edamame.
And now we’re just going to stir that around, and we’re going to add in two cups of cooked rice. This is one half cup of uncooked rice.
We’re just going to give that a nice stir until everything is combined, adding one or two tablespoons of soy sauce depending on your preference.
And now we’re just going to mix everything together.
And if you like things spicy, you can add a dash or two of chili sauce or sriracha and just move everything on over to the side.
| Ingredient | Amount |
|---|---|
| Garlic, diced | one clove |
| Ginger, diced | the same amount |
| Frozen Asian vegetables | two cups |
| Edamame | half a cup |
| Cooked rice | two cups (from half a cup uncooked rice) |
| Soy sauce | one or two tablespoons, plus a little more later |
| Chili sauce or sriracha | a dash or two, optional |
| Shrimp | four ounces, cut into smaller pieces |
| Eggs | two |
Adding the Shrimp
Now we’re going to add the shrimp. So this is four ounces of shrimp cut up into smaller pieces.

I’m just adding a little more soy sauce here.
Make sure that the shrimp is cooked through; it only takes a few minutes.
And now we’re just going to mix everything together so it’s well combined.
Cooking the Eggs
And moving that over again for the last step, now we’re going to cook the eggs. So we’re going to crack two eggs right into the pan.
And you’re just going to scramble them up, making sure they’re well cooked. Making sure to keep mixing as they are cooking.
Finishing Up
And now for the last step, we’re just going to combine everything together again.
And now we’re just going to plate it up evenly into two bowls. This makes two servings.
This is a really great way to make an easy dish in one pan and to use up any leftover rice. Plus it’s high in protein and fiber from the veggies.
Enjoy!
