White Chocolate-Dipped Strawberries

These look fancy on a dessert tray but take about 15 minutes start to finish. Kids love dipping and adding the sprinkles, and if a few end up eaten before they set, that's just quality control. Serve these at a Christmas Eve party and watch them disappear first.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh strawberries washed and dried completely
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoons red and green nonpareils
  • 2 tablespoons crushed candy canes

Method

  1. Make sure strawberries are fully dry — any water will cause the chocolate to seize.
  2. Melt white chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second bursts, stirring until smooth.
  3. Hold each strawberry by the stem and dip it into the white chocolate, letting excess drip off.
  4. Set on parchment and immediately add nonpareils or crushed candy canes before the chocolate sets.
  5. Refrigerate for 15 minutes until chocolate is firm, then serve within a few hours.
