Spicy Jalapeño Poppers

Jalapeño halves filled with cream cheese, seasonings, and then baked after being wrapped in bacon.

Ingredients
  

  • 6 jalapeños halved and seeded
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 6 slices bacon halved
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400F and line a baking sheet with foil.
  2. Mix the cream cheese, cheddar, garlic powder, and salt until smooth.
  3. Spoon the filling into each jalapeño half and pack it down.
  4. Wrap each popper with a half slice of bacon and place seam-side down.
  5. Bake 22 to 25 minutes until the bacon is crisp; cool a few minutes before serving.

Notes

Wear gloves while seeding the jalapeños to save your eyes later.
