Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup raisins

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  3. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Gently fold in oats, chocolate chips, and raisins until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers still look slightly underdone.
  9. Let cookies cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
