Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 full racks baby back ribs about 4-5 pounds
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 275°F and line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil.
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs by sliding a butter knife underneath and pulling it off completely.
  3. In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne pepper to make the dry rub.
  4. Generously coat both sides of the ribs with the dry rub, pressing it into the meat.
  5. Wrap each rack tightly in aluminum foil and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 2.5 to 3 hours until the meat is very tender and pulling away from the bones.
  7. Mix barbecue sauce with honey in a small bowl.
  8. Remove ribs from foil, brush generously with the barbecue sauce mixture, and broil for 3-5 minutes until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing between the bones and serving.
