Chocolate-Covered Marshmallows on Sticks

Thread a marshmallow on a lollipop stick, dip it in chocolate, and hand the sprinkle shakers to your kids — that's the whole recipe. These are great for classroom parties because they're portion-controlled and easy to wrap individually. Little hands genuinely cannot mess these up.

Ingredients Method

Ingredients
  

  • 24 large marshmallows
  • 24 lollipop sticks or skewers
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
  • 1/4 cup holiday sprinkles
  • 1/4 cup mini M&Ms

Method
 

  1. Push a lollipop stick into the flat bottom of each marshmallow.
  2. Melt dark chocolate chips and shortening together in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  3. Dip each marshmallow into the chocolate, rotating to coat fully, and let excess drip off.
  4. Stand dipped marshmallows upright in a foam block or lay on parchment and immediately decorate with sprinkles or mini M&Ms.
  5. Let set completely at room temperature or refrigerate for 10 minutes before serving.
