Chocolate Chip Snickerdoodles

Cinnamon sugar cookies with a buttery texture and gooey melted chocolate chips in every mouthful!

Ingredients
  

  • 2.75 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar for rolling
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon for rolling

Method
 

  1. Whisk the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt together.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar, then beat in the eggs and vanilla.
  3. Mix in the dry ingredients, then fold in the chocolate chips.
  4. Chill the dough 15 minutes and stir the rolling sugar and cinnamon together.
  5. Roll the dough into balls, coat in the cinnamon sugar, and space on lined sheets.
  6. Bake at 375F for 10 to 11 minutes until edges set but centers stay soft.

Notes

Press a few extra chips on top right out of the oven for a bakery look.
