  • 1 lb flank steak thinly sliced
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Method

  1. Toss the sliced steak with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and the cornstarch.
  2. Whisk the remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, garlic, and 1/3 cup water for the sauce.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a wok over high and sear the beef until browned, then remove.
  4. Add the rest of the oil and stir-fry the broccoli with a splash of water until crisp-tender.
  5. Return the beef, pour in the sauce, and toss until thick and glossy, then serve over rice.

Notes

Slice the steak against the grain for the most tender bites.
