Rinse wild rice blend in a fine-mesh strainer under cold water and drain well.
In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add onion and celery, and sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
Add garlic and cook for 1 minute more until fragrant.
Add the wild rice, broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 45-50 minutes until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed.
Remove from heat and let stand covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
Stir in remaining tablespoon of butter, toasted nuts, dried cranberries, and fresh parsley. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve warm.
