Spicy Shrimp Cocktail Shooters

Chilled, poached shrimp are served with zesty and spicy cocktail sauce so they can easily be eaten by hand.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 3 tbsp prepared horseradish
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp hot sauce
  • 0.5 tsp celery salt

Method
 

  1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and poach shrimp 2 to 3 minutes until pink.
  2. Drain and plunge shrimp into an ice bath to chill, then pat dry.
  3. Whisk ketchup, horseradish, lime juice, hot sauce, and celery salt.
  4. Spoon a few tablespoons of sauce into each small glass.
  5. Hang 2 to 3 shrimp over the rim of each glass.
  6. Chill until ready to serve.

Notes

Buy shrimp already peeled and deveined to save yourself fifteen minutes of fiddly prep.
