Spiced Rum Balls

Cookie dough balls that are rolled in powdered sugar and mixed with rum.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 3 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup dark rum
  • 2 tbsp corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar for rolling

Method
 

  1. Mix the wafer crumbs, powdered sugar, walnuts, and cocoa in a bowl.
  2. Stir in the rum and corn syrup until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls.
  4. Roll each ball in powdered sugar to coat.
  5. Store in an airtight tin for a couple days so the flavor mellows and deepens.

Notes

These taste best after a few days, so make them early.
