Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups steel-cut oats
  • 6 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 medium apples peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Spray your slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray to make cleanup a breeze.
  2. Add the steel-cut oats, milk, water, diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt to the slow cooker. Give it a good stir.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 7-8 hours overnight.
  4. In the morning, stir the oatmeal well and add a splash of milk if it's too thick.
  5. Serve warm with your favorite toppings like chopped nuts, dried cranberries, maple syrup, or extra cinnamon.
