Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 10-inch cast iron skillet.
  2. Beat butter and both sugars together until fluffy, then mix in egg and vanilla.
  3. Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt until a dough forms, then fold in chocolate chips.
  4. Press dough evenly into the prepared skillet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until edges are golden but center looks slightly underdone.
  6. Let rest 5 minutes, then slice into wedges and serve warm.
