Shrimp Boil

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound small red potatoes
  • 4 ears of corn cut into halves
  • 1 pound smoked sausage sliced
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 1/4 cup Old Bay seasoning
  • 6 cloves garlic minced

Method

  1. Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Cut the lemon in half; slice one half into the pot with the Old Bay and garlic, and reserve the other half.
  2. Drop in the potatoes and cook for about 10-12 minutes until they are just fork-tender.
  3. Add the corn and sausage, cooking for an additional 5-6 minutes.
  4. Finally, add the shrimp, boiling for 2-3 minutes or until they turn pink.
  5. Drain the ingredients and serve on a large platter for a classic shrimp boil experience.
  6. Squeeze the reserved lemon half over the drained shrimp boil before serving.
