Sheet-Pan Baked Ziti

Baked ziti usually means a million dirty dishes, but spreading it on a sheet pan cuts down the mess and gets crispy cheesy edges that kids go absolutely crazy for. Make it on a Sunday and you have lunch covered too. It reheats like a dream.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ziti pasta cooked and drained
  • 1 jar 24 oz marinara sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef browned and drained
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F and lightly grease a large rimmed sheet pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cooked ziti, marinara, browned beef, ricotta, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and salt, then mix well.
  3. Spread the mixture evenly across the sheet pan in a single layer.
  4. Top with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan, making sure to cover the edges.
  5. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown at the edges.
  6. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
