Sesame Chicken Stir Fry

Golden chicken is coated in a delectable sesame-soy sauce and finished with a shower of sesame seeds. It is nutty, savory, and totally satisfying.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lb boneless skinless chicken thighs cubed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 3 green onions sliced

Method
 

  1. Whisk the soy sauce, honey, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and cornstarch together in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high and cook the chicken until golden and cooked through, about 7 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the sauce and toss, simmering 2 minutes until thick and glossy.
  5. Sprinkle in most of the sesame seeds and stir to coat.
  6. Top with the remaining sesame seeds and green onions and serve over rice.

Notes

Toasted sesame oil is the secret here — a little goes a long way, so don't overdo it.
