Santa Hat Marshmallow Pops

The marshmallows are coated in a red candy shell, sugared at the brim, and topped with a fluffy white pom-pom for an instant Santa hat.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 large marshmallows
  • 12 lollipop sticks
  • 1 cup red candy melts
  • 3 tbsp white sanding sugar
  • 12 mini marshmallows

Method
 

  1. Push a lollipop stick into the flat end of each large marshmallow.
  2. Melt the red candy melts in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring between each, until smooth.
  3. Dip each marshmallow into the red coating, leaving a white band at the base for the hat brim.
  4. Sprinkle the white band with sanding sugar before the coating sets.
  5. Press a mini marshmallow onto the pointed tip as the pom-pom and stand the pops upright to set.

Notes

A block of foam makes a handy stand while the pops dry.
