Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Place dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp towel, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled in size.
Punch down dough and shape into a round or oval loaf, then place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes while preheating oven to 425°F.
Score the top of the loaf with a sharp knife and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped.
