Ingredients
Method
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning to the beef along with 1/4 cup of water. Stir and cook for another 2-3 minutes until well combined and heated through.
- Warm the tortillas in the microwave for about 20 seconds to make them more pliable.
- Spread a spoonful of refried beans down the center of each tortilla.
- Top the beans with the seasoned beef, followed by a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.
- Add a spoonful of salsa on top of the cheese.
- Roll up the tortillas, folding in the sides as you go to keep the filling inside.
- Place the burritos seam-side down on a plate and microwave for about 30 seconds to melt the cheese.
- Serve your burritos immediately, with a dollop of sour cream and a sprinkle of chopped cilantro if desired.
Notes
Feel free to customize by adding your family's favorite toppings, such as avocado slices, jalapeƱos, or diced tomatoes. For a healthier version, use whole wheat tortillas and low-fat cheese.
