Ingredients
  

  • 4 boneless pork chops 4 oz each, trimmed of fat
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 3 medium apples peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Season both sides of pork chops with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 145°F.
  3. While pork chops cook, combine diced apples, water, honey, and cinnamon in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
  4. Cook apples for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally and mashing with a fork until you reach desired consistency.
  5. Let pork chops rest for 3 minutes before serving alongside warm applesauce. Pair with steamed green beans for a complete meal.
