Prep Time 20 minutes
Cook Time 18 minutes
Cooling and chilling 5 minutes
Total Time 43 minutes
Servings: 12 pastry bites

Ingredients

  • 1 puff pastry sheet 8.6 oz, thawed but cold
  • 4 oz brie cut into 12 cubes
  • 1/4 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce
  • 1 teaspoon neutral oil for greasing

Method

  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Lightly oil the mini muffin cups. Cut pastry into 12 equal squares.
  2. Press each square into a cup with corners pointing upward like petals. Add a cube of brie and 1 teaspoon cranberry sauce to each.
  3. Bake for 15–18 minutes until pastry is well puffed and golden. Let stand 5 minutes, then loosen carefully and serve warm.

Notes

Equipment: 12-cup mini muffin pan.
Serving size: 1 pastry bite.
Keep refrigerated until serving. Return to the refrigerator within 2 hours; use within 3–4 days.
Squares in a mini muffin pan hold the filling more reliably than loose pastry strips.
