Pistachio Cream Dessert

A lovely layered pudding dessert features crust and whipped topping of the creamy pistachio flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups crushed shortbread cookies
  • 0.5 cup butter melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 boxes instant pistachio pudding mix
  • 3 cups cold milk
  • 8 oz whipped topping thawed
  • 0.25 cup chopped pistachios

Method
 

  1. Mix the crushed cookies with melted butter, press into a 9x13 dish, and chill.
  2. Beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar and half the whipped topping, then spread over the crust.
  3. Whisk the pistachio pudding mix with the cold milk until thick and spread over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Top with the remaining whipped topping, sprinkle with chopped pistachios, and chill at least 3 hours before serving.
