Ingredients

  • 12 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup pecans finely chopped
  • 0.25 tsp cayenne pepper

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with a wire rack.
  2. Lay the bacon slices on the rack in a single layer.
  3. Stir together the brown sugar, chopped pecans, and cayenne, then press the mixture onto each strip.
  4. Bake for 22 to 25 minutes until the bacon is deep golden and the topping is caramelized.
  5. Let cool a few minutes so the praline coating sets before serving.

Notes

Watch closely near the end, since the sugar can go from caramelized to burnt fast.
