Servings: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 8 slices thick brioche bread
  • 1/2 cup Nutella
  • 4 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp butter for the griddle
  • powdered sugar for dusting

Method

  1. Spread Nutella generously on 4 slices of brioche, then top each with a second slice to make sandwiches.
  2. In a shallow dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon.
  3. Melt the butter on a griddle or large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides, and let the excess drip off.
  5. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes per side, until golden brown and the centers are warm and melty.
  6. Dust with powdered sugar and serve right away.

Notes

A drizzle of warm maple syrup never hurts here.
