Nutcracker Rice Krispies Treats

Ingredients Method Notes

Ingredients
  

  • 6 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 0.5 cup red icing
  • 0.5 cup white icing
  • 0.25 cup black icing
  • 10 candy buttons

Method
 

  1. Melt the butter and marshmallows in a large pot until smooth.
  2. Stir in the rice cereal until coated, then press into a greased pan.
  3. Let cool 10 minutes, then cut into 10 tall rectangles.
  4. Pipe a red icing jacket on the bottom half of each treat.
  5. Add a white icing face and black icing hat and boots.
  6. Press on candy buttons down the front and let set.

Notes

Lightly butter your hands when pressing the cereal so it doesn't stick.
