Servings: 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 muffuletta loaf or round bread
  • 1 cup olive salad drained
  • 6 slices Genoa salami
  • 6 slices mortadella
  • 6 slices provolone
  • 6 slices mozzarella

Method

  1. Slice the bread in half horizontally and spread the drained olive salad over the bottom half.
  2. Layer on the salami, mortadella, provolone, and mozzarella in even sheets.
  3. Top with the other bread half and press down firmly to compact the layers.
  4. Wrap tightly and refrigerate for at least an hour so it holds together.
  5. Slice into small squares or wedges and secure each with a toothpick.

Notes

Pressing it under a heavy pan in the fridge makes for cleaner, sturdier bites.
