Meatball Sliders on Hawaiian Rolls

These are one of the smartest things you can put out at a party — no plates needed, just pick up and eat. Italian meatballs with marinara and melted provolone on soft Hawaiian rolls, baked together until everything is warm and melty. Make two pans because one is never enough.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pack 12 count Hawaiian rolls
  • 12 cooked Italian-style meatballs
  • 1.5 cups marinara sauce
  • 6 slices provolone cheese
  • 3 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp grated Parmesan
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Slice the entire pack of Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a greased 9x13 baking dish.
  3. Spread marinara sauce over the bottom rolls, place meatballs on top (one per roll), and lay provolone slices over everything.
  4. Place the top half of the rolls over the cheese.
  5. Mix melted butter with garlic powder, Parmesan, and Italian seasoning and brush over the top of the rolls.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then uncover and bake 5 more minutes until golden.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil and cut into individual sliders to serve.
