Total Time 1 hour
Servings: 9 buns

Ingredients

  • 1 lb bread dough
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 1 cup pecans chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter melted

Method

  1. Stir the melted butter, maple syrup, and half the brown sugar and pour into a baking pan, then scatter the pecans on top.
  2. Roll the dough into a rectangle and spread with softened butter.
  3. Sprinkle the remaining brown sugar and the cinnamon over the dough.
  4. Roll the dough into a log and slice into 9 pieces, then place cut-side down in the pan.
  5. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes, then bake at 350 degrees F for 28 to 30 minutes.
  6. Cool for 5 minutes, then flip the pan onto a platter so the sticky top faces up.

Notes

Let them cool a few minutes before flipping so the caramel sets slightly.
