Maple-Glazed Ham with Mustard Sauce

A juicy spiral ham lacquered with maple glaze and accompanied by a creamy mustard sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 8 lb bone-in spiral ham
  • 3/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp whole grain mustard
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp honey

Method
 

  1. Heat oven to 325F and set the ham cut-side down with 1 cup water in the pan.
  2. Cover with foil and bake about 90 minutes until warmed through.
  3. Brush with a glaze of maple syrup, brown sugar, and whole grain mustard.
  4. Bake uncovered 25-30 more minutes, glazing twice, until caramelized.
  5. Whisk sour cream, Dijon, and honey into a smooth mustard sauce.
  6. Slice the ham and serve with the mustard sauce on the side.

Notes

Reserve a little glaze to brush on right before serving for shine.
