Maple-Glazed Bacon Skewers

Thick-cut bacon is skewered and brushed with a maple glaze until sticky and caramelized.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 slices thick-cut bacon
  • 0.33 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 8 wooden skewers

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375F and set a wire rack over a foil-lined sheet.
  2. Thread each bacon slice onto a skewer in a loose accordion shape.
  3. Whisk maple syrup, Dijon, and pepper together.
  4. Brush the bacon generously with the glaze.
  5. Bake 20 to 25 minutes, brushing once more halfway, until deeply caramelized.
  6. Cool 5 minutes so the glaze sets before serving.
