Maple Dijon Grilled Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, maple syrup, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper to create the maple Dijon glaze.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish and pour the glaze over them. Seal the bag or cover the dish and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Remove the chicken breasts from the marinade and place them on the preheated grill.
  5. Grill the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the chicken is cooked through.
  6. During the last few minutes of grilling, brush the chicken with any remaining glaze for extra flavor.
  7. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  8. Serve hot, optionally garnished with fresh herbs for added color.

Notes

This dish pairs wonderfully with roasted vegetables or a simple green salad. Leftover chicken can be used in salads or sandwiches for quick and easy meals. If you prefer baking, cook the chicken in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, brushing with glaze halfway through.
