  • 0.75 lb ground beef
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 cup shredded cabbage
  • 16 wonton wrappers
  • 3 cups vegetable oil for frying

Method

  1. Drape wrappers over the bars of an oven rack and bake at 375°F for 6 minutes to shape into shells, or fry folded over tongs until crisp.
  2. Brown the ground beef in a skillet, then drain.
  3. Stir in soy sauce and brown sugar and simmer until sticky.
  4. Fill each crisp shell with beef and a pinch of shredded cabbage.
  5. Drizzle with extra sauce and serve right away.

Notes

A squeeze of sriracha mayo on top takes these over the edge.
