Jalapeño Poppers

Jalepeno pepper halves filled with cheese and bacon, then baked until crispy.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 jalapeños halved and seeded
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 6 slices bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Halve the jalapeños lengthwise and scoop out the seeds and ribs.
  3. Mix cream cheese, cheddar, half the bacon, and garlic powder together.
  4. Fill each jalapeño half generously with the cheese mixture.
  5. Top with panko and the remaining bacon.
  6. Bake 20 minutes, until the peppers soften and the tops turn golden.

Notes

Wear gloves while seeding the jalapeños to save your hands.
