Jalapeño Poppers

Crispy and golden fried jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 jalapeños halved and seeded
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1.5 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Mix the cream cheese and cheddar together until smooth.
  2. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture and press the halves back together.
  3. Dredge each pepper in flour, then egg, then panko.
  4. Heat the oil to 350 degrees F in a deep pan.
  5. Fry the poppers 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with ranch.

Notes

Wear gloves while seeding the jalapeños to protect your hands.
