Servings: 6 servings

Ingredients

  • 2 store-bought pizza doughs or 1 pound homemade dough
  • 1 can 15 oz tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoni optional
  • 1 cup sliced vegetables bell peppers, mushrooms, or olives
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F. If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven now. Otherwise, lightly grease two baking sheets with olive oil.
  2. Roll out each pizza dough on a floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter. Transfer to your prepared baking sheets.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the tomato sauce with oregano and garlic powder. Spread half the sauce over each pizza dough, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.
  4. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese evenly over both pizzas, then add your choice of toppings (pepperoni, vegetables, or whatever your family loves).
  5. Brush the edges of the crust with olive oil for a golden, crispy finish.
  6. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and the crust is golden brown. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
