Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas drained
  • 3 tbsp tahini
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp cumin
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp cold water

Method

  1. Add the chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, cumin, and salt to a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until thick and chunky.
  3. With the motor running, drizzle in the olive oil and cold water.
  4. Keep blending until completely smooth and creamy, scraping the sides as needed.

  6. Spread into a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and serve with pita or veggies.

Notes

The cold water is the trick to ultra-smooth, fluffy hummus.
