Herb Butter Basted Ham

A golden and delicious finish to our savory ham is the garlicky herb basting butter.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bone-in ham 8 lb, fully cooked
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh thyme chopped
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 325F and place the ham in a roasting pan.
  2. Mash the butter with the garlic, rosemary, thyme, and pepper.
  3. Rub half the herb butter all over the ham.
  4. Cover with foil and bake 1 hour 30 minutes.
  5. Uncover, baste with the remaining herb butter, and bake 30 minutes more.
  6. Rest, then carve.

Notes

Spoon the herby pan butter over each slice.
