Herb and Garlic Scones

Warm, tender buttery scones with exciting flecks of fresh herbs and garlic.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp cold butter cubed
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheddar
  • 2 tbsp fresh chives chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 0.75 cup heavy cream

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 F and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. Whisk the flour, baking powder, and salt, then cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Stir in the cheddar, chives, and garlic, then add the cream and gently mix into a dough.
  4. Pat into a circle, cut into 8 wedges, and place on the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 16 to 18 minutes until golden and serve warm.

Notes

Keep the butter cold for the flakiest scones.
