Ham and Swiss Pinwheels

This is the pinwheel you bring to every school party and every potluck because everyone eats them and nobody complains. Honey mustard takes it from good to really good. They also work cold, which is a lifesaver for packed-ahead parties.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tubes crescent roll dough
  • 3 tablespoons honey mustard
  • 8 oz thinly sliced deli ham
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll crescent dough and press seams to form two rectangles.
  3. Spread honey mustard over each rectangle, then layer ham and Swiss cheese evenly.
  4. Roll tightly into logs and slice into 1-inch rounds.
  5. Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  6. Bake 12 to 14 minutes until puffed and golden.
