Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter, swirling to coat the pan.
Add the ham steaks and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until nicely browned and caramelized, then remove to a plate.
In the same skillet, add the remaining butter, brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and ground cloves, stirring constantly until the mixture is melted and bubbling.
Return the ham steaks to the skillet and spoon the glaze over them, cooking for 1-2 minutes per side until the ham is heated through and coated with the sticky glaze.
Serve immediately with extra glaze spooned over the top.
