Total Time 33 minutes
Servings: 24 wontons

Ingredients

  • 0.75 lb raw shrimp finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil for the pan

Method

  1. Combine the chopped shrimp with ginger, garlic, and soy sauce.
  2. Place a spoonful in each wrapper, dampen the edges, and fold into triangles.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add the wontons and cook 1 minute, then pour in a splash of water and cover.
  5. Steam for 4 to 5 minutes until the shrimp is pink and cooked through.
  6. Uncover and serve with soy dipping sauce.

Notes

Don't overfill — shrimp needs room to cook evenly.
