Fig and Gorgonzola Tartlets

Toasted walnuts finish off the sharp gorgonzola and sweet fig jam combination. This is the first bite to vanish from the table because it is the most sophisticated.

Cook Time 6 minutes
Total Time 16 minutes
Servings: 15 cups

Ingredients

  • 15 mini phyllo cups pre-baked
  • 1/3 cup fig jam
  • 3 oz gorgonzola crumbled
  • 3 tbsp chopped walnuts toasted
  • 1 tbsp honey optional
  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary minced, optional

Method

  1. Heat oven to 350°F.
  2. Spoon about a teaspoon of fig jam into each phyllo cup.
  3. Top with crumbled gorgonzola.
  4. Bake 5 to 6 minutes until the cheese softens. Finish with walnuts, a drizzle of honey, and rosemary.

Notes

Use a milder blue cheese if gorgonzola is too sharp for your crowd.
