Prep Time 10 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 12 servings

Ingredients

  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 8 oz goat cheese softened
  • 1 cup fig preserves
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts toasted
  • 2 teaspoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method

  1. Spray your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray. Add the cream cheese and goat cheese to the slow cooker.
  2. Add the fig preserves, honey, thyme, balsamic vinegar, and salt. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Cover and cook on low for 2 hours, stirring occasionally to ensure everything melts together smoothly.
  4. About 10 minutes before serving, stir in the toasted walnuts, reserving a few for garnish.
  5. Transfer to a serving dish or keep warm in the slow cooker on the "warm" setting. Top with remaining walnuts and extra thyme if desired. Serve with crackers, baguette slices, or apple wedges.
