Easy Overnight Oats for Festive Mornings

Picture this: you're sipping coffee while the kids tear into presents, and breakfast is already done. These overnight oats are a lifesaver on Christmas morning, and you can prep them up to three days ahead. Plus, the kids will love customizing their own jars with festive toppings!

Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 3 cups whole milk or almond milk
  • cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 6 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Toppings: chopped pecans dried cranberries, banana slices, extra maple syrup

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, milk, yogurt, maple syrup, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined.
  2. Add ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves to the mixture. Stir thoroughly to ensure spices are evenly distributed.
  3. Divide the mixture evenly among six mason jars or airtight containers (about ¾ cup each).
  4. Cover jars tightly and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or up to 3 days.
  5. On Christmas morning, give each jar a quick stir, add your favorite toppings, and serve cold or warmed in the microwave for 45-60 seconds.
