Crispy Oven-Baked Chicken Tenders

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken tenders
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix together the panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. In another shallow dish, beat the eggs.
  4. Dip each chicken tender into the beaten eggs, allowing any excess to drip off.
  5. Press the chicken tenders into the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated on all sides.
  6. Place the coated chicken tenders on the prepared baking sheet. Lightly drizzle the tops with olive oil to help them crisp up.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken tenders are golden brown and cooked through, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  8. If desired, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes to get them extra crispy, but keep an eye on them to prevent burning.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the chicken tenders cool for a few minutes before serving.
