Creamy Jalapeño Popper Dip

Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese divided
  • 4-5 jalapeños seeded and diced
  • 4 oz canned diced green chiles drained
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and spray a 2-quart baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, beat together cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  3. Stir in 1 1/2 cups cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, diced jalapeños, green chiles, bacon, garlic powder, and salt until well combined.
  4. Spread mixture evenly into prepared baking dish.
  5. In a small bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, melted butter, and remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, then sprinkle evenly over the dip.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes until hot and bubbly, then broil for 2-3 minutes until topping is golden and crispy.
  7. Let cool for 5 minutes and serve warm with tortilla chips or crackers.
